One that sticks in my mind was Deus Ex on the PC - man that was some seriously absorbing shit. I just wanted to explore every last corner of it and teh more you did the better the story became.
Most recent game that jumps to mind is Demon Souls, tbh pretty much everything i just said about Deus applies to Demons Souls.

yeah its not as bad as XenoGears - man that game sucked ass, the worst RPG i have ever played.
I mean what the hell is a Xenogear, some kind of alien clutch ??? Stupid, not as cool as gunblades, man i love gunblades - coolest weapon ever.
Dont get me wrong i love GOW3 but it was just GOW2 with a new graphics engine. Multiplayer probably wouldnt have worked - i dunno but there was alot more they could have done to add to the game.
more challenge rooms - GOW3 had the crappest challenges out of all the trilogy. Batman AA had shitloads of challenges.
1 vs 1 fighting - the end fight with Zeus was pretty much Mortal Kombat, what about opening this up to let players slug it out as any of the main character...
Sometimes they dont even focus on the graphics - the obvious one being MW:2 which I think actually looked worse than COD4.
I dont have any problem with sequels, sometimes i just want more of the same for the core gameplay but with some new gameplay modes. A game which pulled this off was Uncharted2, a game which didnt was GOW3.
isnt this single player only ? Most of my gaming hours go into multiplayer so if this is the case then there is no chance this will be getting my hard earned sterlings.
Q1 2011 is gonna be owned by Killzone 3 which has a bazillion times more features than this.
I quite like my heavy stylised shooty type games (Soldner) so this looks like quite a decent title.

The functionalilty is already there in the standard joypad for throwing grenades. Simply let go of the pad with your right hand and perform the grenade throwing motion ensuring with your right arm - ensuring that the end of the motion arc lands on your designated grenade button. Simples !

I agree that 3D is a gimmick but the price of TV's isnt really a factor. Once upon a time flat screen TV's costs a fortune, then 1080p flatscreen TV's cost a fortune, now 3D TV's costs a fortune.
Sooner or later the basic spec for 3D will become a standard feature and then it will just be an option whether you buy the glasses as an accessory or not.
